This Saturday, I was scrolling, once again, on TikTok when I saw some videos of women in their 20s talking about the 4B movement. I will be honest I did not know what it was, but i got the main idea: these women are angry. The 4B movement is something you might be unconsciously doing already. It is the choice of not dating, having sex, marrying or having children with men. Also known as the «Four Nos» the movement was born in South Korea during 2010. It has gained popularity in the United States of America after Donald Trump’s win. Where 48 % of men from 18 – 29 voted for him. There has been a lot of social media discourse about the “male loneliness epidemic”, the past few months. This radical feminist movement plans to bring even more alone time to said men.

Will this be the solution for the political state of America? Probably not, but it is a great revenge. After a man who has treated and talked about women’s bodies without any respect for his entire career, it seems fitting that the response of women is to refuse to share their bodies with men. This is not an original idea for the States or South Korea. A Greek play written in 411 B.C has this exact plot. Lysistrata is about a
group of women that rebel against the war by initiating a sex strike, which will not end until the men sign a peace agreement.

In the ancient Greek play, the men cannot resist the sex ban and end up accepting the peace
agreement. Are we to assume that our young men of society are more evolved than the Greek
men? I sure hope so. But after recent events and the choices of my generation, Gen-Z, seems to be making maybe we need som of that Greek spirt in men.
